Doh!

On the horizon of this picture is the tallest building in the state. It's a 202 feet tall feed mill. Yesterday the community turned out to watch them blow it up. There were prime invitation only viewing opportunities. Raffle tickets were sold for the MS Society, the winner would be the one to press the button. The event has it's own website. The promotion of the event went on for weeks.

As you can see it didn't go very well. It's no longer the tallest building in the state, but it's not the shortest one yet, either.

There's a very good movie at the local daily of the failure.

Oh, that's pretty funny. I've actually been watching that site for a few days (and was thinking about blogging about it). Now what? Round 2? I can't believe anyone would be too excited to go inside to lay down more explosives.

I think finding a way in would be a problem. They're getting a wrecking ball but I don't imagine that's going to be as straitforward as it seems either.

That's a great photo super-imposition you did. It must have been fun to watch. I've seen a couple of buildings get demolished but they went as expected, without showing this sort of resilience.

This could be a great ad for Viagra!

This is the funniest thing I've seen all week! Which either goes to prove small things amuse small minds, or that there's a serious lack of "funny" around.
