The MinusWashingMachine Project
In the MinusCar household we've made a habit of collecting water previously wasted while we warm up the shower water in a five gallon bucket which gets emptied into the washing machine.

That is an awesome set-up.
growing up on a farm, we saved water doing the same thing.
We recently bought a front loading washer since it's more efficient and can no longer dump water in...sigh...
Our house plants however are well fed.
