MinusHelmet

US Senator and 2008 presidential possibility John Thune rides bike without a helmet. It’s probably because he’s not a serious rider. Everybody knows you don’t fall off you’re not doing serious cycling.

Do you wear one for walking?

You're more likely to get a head injury when walking than cycling.

Helmets for cycling are an abomination. It's not even as if they are designed to do any actual good!

If Helmets don't do any good, Then why have I been saved from 2 concussion and one fractured skull that may have occurred while mtn biking or possibly death ?

I agree is that it isn't ones right (gov't) to tell someone if they should wear a helmet or not. However, there are some that aren't mature enough to see all the reasons to wear a helmet (children). Then there are those that are so selfish that they care for no one but themselves as they ride. They had better hope that someone really loves them when they do get in an accident. Those husbands, wives, parents, and children left behind will be cursing every day that they told you to wear a helmet and you did not love them enough to just put a helmet on. If you love your family, if you love your friends, wear your helmet because they love you.
