Odd, I was always under the impression that cars couldn't do much without someone behind the wheel.

I wonder is mine used to run off without my knowledge and do stupid things like that.

I thought the headline #3 in people drive cars is going on to say "...No...[charges filed?]" But the actual headline isn't much better. A cop crosses a centerline and kills someone and no toxicology is ordered? What a world we live in.

If I wasn't afraid that someone was going to run me down and then get off without any charges against them, I would think this was funny.

This is tragic and the difference in headlines is very interesting.

Not surprised that no toxicology is ordered. We had a similar case here where an officer was driving his truck home after a night of partying (at which he says he hadn't had anything to drink for many hours before he got behind the wheel, but fell asleep because he had been up so late) and he ran over a woman in a small convertible who was stopped at a red light. That's going on three summers ago and the court case and inquest is still ongoing. Of course, blood tests were not taken.

That's the end of my comment. Just getting mad writing about it, so I'll leave it there.
